Are there any special events happening in Asia in April and May?
I go to the travel agency a few days to book my flights and would like the plan around these events … go to Bali, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Laos. Not sure what order yet. If you know a good website I can go to for these things, it would be useful too. Cheers.
Thai New Year (Songkran) is mid-April … that's funny, but is likely to get wet. Rough Guides usually have the best information about the world of festivals etc. Try Lonely Planet website also …. go to different countries who are interested and then check the Events page. Whenever there are festivals going on in Bali – it's just a case of being in the right place at the right time. Indeed while was found with a bit that was there and it was in May of the year I visited. Just make sure to respect the religious sensibilities of the locals. Have a good trip.
